Creativity has always been my compass. In high school, I wasn't just snapping photos; I was immersed in the magic of film photography, developing my own prints in the darkroom. I also enjoyed capturing the energy of my church's youth group through video filming and editing.

This passion for visual storytelling followed me to the University of Colorado, where video became my artistic language. After graduation, the allure of Los Angeles, with all its opportunities, proved irresistible.

Years later, during a time of reflection, a calling reignited. While in prayer, I felt a clear nudge – a push to pursue photography with a deeper purpose. It wasn't just about income, but about using my lens to tell stories.

Fueled by this newfound passion, Steven Hankins Photography was born in 2015. Initially, the path wasn't linear. I discovered my niche in the world of corporate headshots, a testament to the power of both passion and the unexpected turns life can take.

Santa Monica, California, with its vibrant energy and beautiful backdrops, serves as my home base.
